In 2009, Corrosion of Conformity went on hiatus after five years without releasing any albums. Reed Mullin , drummer and co-founder, had already left the group at the time and wanted to start a new project.
Righteous Fool also included COC bassist Mike Dean at the invitation of Jason Browning . The trio performed live in a few venues and released a single on vinyl in 2010.
The group disbanded when a COC reunion was organized, losing Dean and Mullin. But before that, the band had the opportunity to record several songs at Dave Grohl Now, after Mullin's death last month, Dean and Browning have shared "Low Blow," a song that showcases Reed Mullin's skills as a vocalist.
He was known as a drummer, but he was also a great vocalist and songwriter, having contributed as a singer to a large part of the songs on COC's 1985 album Animosity . Listen to the song below.
